When is mango season in Andalusia?
The Osteen variety is the best known. The mango season in Almuñecar - La Herradura begins in mid-September and ends at the end of October.

In particular, it provides Vitamin C and A, ideal for strengthening the immune system, being one of the fruits with the highest content of these vitamins. It also contains a lot of potassium and magnesium, ideal to recover the muscle tone of athletes and prevent osteoporosis. Mango chutney recipes:
Mango chicken with raisins from Malaga
First macerate 80gr. of Malaga Raisins D.O.P. in 100ml of sweet wine (optionally the night before).
Fillet and cut into pieces 2 chicken breasts.
At the same time peel and grind in a blender or Thermomix two pieces of fruit together with the wine from the maceration to make a Pedro Ximenez sauce and set aside.
Brown the chicken in the pan with A.O.V.E. de Quéntar and then add 150 ml. of cooking cream, the mango sauce with Pedro Ximénez, the macerated raisins, a pinch of garlic, a pinch of nutmeg, a piece of star anise, a clove, salt and pepper and reduce over low heat for 3 minutes.
As a colophon you can accompany it with a passion fruit or passion fruit mousse with pica pica.
