Visit our farm in Almuñécar | Tienda de Fruta
Europe's only coffee plantation guided tour
Visit our finca and enjoy a day off sorrounded by mangoes, avocados, cherimolas and the only coffee plantation in Europe
During the guided tour of our farm we want you to forget about all your daily responsibilities and obligations
Our intention is for you to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a day in the countryside
Visiting a farm means putting on good shoes or boots, staying hydrated, protecting yourself from the sun and being prepared to relax.
We would like to explain how we grow the fruit we take home, the different varieties of plants we take care of, the peculiarities of each one, their origin, how they came to our farm and why we chose them. It's up to you if you want to help us in our daily tasks
Are you a coffee lover? Visit a coffee farm in Almuñécar
Our farm is possibly the most northern coffee farm in the world where Arabica coffee is grown, so if you want to save yourself the trip to Colombia, we give you the opportunity to see our coffee plants and help us with the picking
At our farm in La Herradura you will see banana plantations and get to know first hand mangoes, custard apples, avocados, coffee trees, macadamias, lychees, longan and other subtropical species that you will hardly find in other regions of the peninsula.
The guided tour includes:
A walk of approximately 60 minutes
Visit to the oldest mango tree in the Iberian Peninsula.
Visit of centenary custard apple orchards
Visit of the northernmost experimental coffee plantation in the world.
Visit of a modern mango plantation
Visit of a pitaya plantation
Visit of a modern avocado plantation
30% discount in you buy an avocado box in the farm
We can show you our 19th century farmhouse, its oil mill and bread oven, so that you can understand what life was like not so long ago. The concept of self-sufficiency, barter, the ritual of the slaughter, the superstitions of the country people, how the cortijo weddings were and how they had fun dancing fandangos.
As an upgrade, we offer you the possibility of taking an introductory course to barismo, so that you can correctly prepare an espresso at home and know how to distinguish between a pure Arabica coffee full of nuances and a commercial coffee
Another option is to enjoy a photography course with your partner led by Felipe Passolas through our small forest, photographing chameleons, peregrine falcons, eagle owls and improving your makros technique with our mangoes in bloom, if you are lucky enough to discover them
To end the day we encourage you to enjoy the sunset overlooking the Mediterranean in a hammock in La Herradura, with a delicious mojito with Ron Pálido, or a delicious cold brew made by the friends of Lisboa Slow Coffee.
